I am so brain dead....but I had a ton of fun this weekend!

I am working on getting my pictures (all 700+) cleaned up and uploaded.

I thought I was going to get some help with inking on Sunday but the panelist who was doing the Inking Workshop never showed. Phooey.

I might be posting some fics though, I did get a LOT of plot bunnies this weekend.

My photos are at Flickr and so far I have Friday up.

Um...yeah I have more to say but I'm just out of it right now.

I'll probably post a nice long blabbering post at my LiveJournal sometime later.

Hi all!

I'm still pretty much on a DA break, but I may be back around soon, at least a little more after Acen is over.

So yes, Anime Central is a little less than a week away. Am I done with costumes? Hell no. Didn't I say I wasn't doing this again after sewing last minute last year? Yes. Will I be sewing the day before again next year? Probably. I'm such a procrastinator.

Anyway, Panel Programming finally released a schedule so I have my tentative schedule for myself drawn up. Lots of stuff this year, fun stuff but man am I gonna need a vacation from my vacation!

I'm speaking on two panels this year, The Advanced Guide to Glomping is at 2 PM on Friday in DFW; Fanfiction panel is at 2 PM on Saturday in DFW. I will be in the Saturday Bleach photoshoot, the Friday Harry Potter shoot, and the Saturday Doctor Who gathering.

Here is my tentative schedule:

Thursday

~Picking up my friends at the airport and making a Mitsuwa run approximately 12-1 pm, then checking into the hotel (staying in the Hyatt)

9:00 PM - Steak & Shake dinner
10:00 PM? (whenever we return) - Meetup with other paranormal enthusiasts (still not set)

Friday

1:00 PM - Bleach Photoshoot, East Outside Area (attending only)

3:00 PM - Lolita sewing panel, Paris
6:00 PM - Harry Potter photoshoot, Parking Lot Island (rain backup: Dome); Cosplay - Hermione Granger
8:00 PM - Doctor Who/Torchwood gathering, elevator area (will attend if I can)
8:00 PM - Masquerade Ball, Embassy Ballroom (already have my ticket!)
10:00 PM - Acen Guys Panel, DFW
12:00 AM - Midnight Madness (if I can stay awake!)

1:00 PM - Kasemei's birthday meetup; costume change/meal time
2:00 PM - Fanfiction Panel, DFW (panelist)
3:00 PM - No Budget, No Skills, No Problem! Weapons & Props panel, Paris
4:00 PM - Doctor Who/Torchwood gathering, inner east wall; Cosplay - Captain Jack Harkness
5:00 PM - Breaking into Video Games panel, Florence (really don't want to miss this!)
5:45 PM - Revolutionary Girl Utena screening in video rooms (til approx 7 PM)
7:00 PM - Paranoia game (Torchwood themed) in Tegel room of Tabletop Gaming (already signed up to play)
12:00 AM - Ghosts of Acen panel, DFW (don't wanna miss this!!)

Sunday

10:00 AM - Private Photoshoot for Captain Jack Harkness costume
11:30 AM - Wii Would Like to Play With the Guests panel, Main Events B (I had to leave before they got started last year, I really want to see this event!)
12:00 PM - Copyright Basics panel, London (I'd like to see this but might skip it)
12:20 PM - Tsubasa screening in video rooms (until approx 2:25 pm)
1:00 PM - Inking Workshop panel, Paris; Comics Scriptwriting, DFW (can't decide between these yet!)
3 PM - Last minute shopping time! May be my only shopping time!!


I will have my cellphone on me all weekend, feel free to PM me for the number. I plan to be in my Captain Jack Harkness costume most of the weekend except for Friday after 5 PM and Saturday until approx 1 PM.

I welcome any and all glomps, just at least forwarn me! Last year I got glomped (my first ever glomp!) and luckily the gal screamed my character name so I had time to brace for impact. I love glomping and getting glomped but I don't feel like cracking my head on the floor And please if you take my photo let me know where I can see it!! I still haven't found any pics of me from last year cept for from the Glomp Team meetup!


Okay, back to frantically trying to finish cosplays!

Hello everyone.

Wow, I just looked and I last updated my journal in February. Oops....

I've been thinking long and hard and I've decided to step away from DA for a while. I'm not leaving by any means but I just have been so busy lately, I've hardly been here at all anyway.

I feel kind of bad about dropping the ball in the Immortal Tournament, especially since I was determined that was going to be my arena to improve my battle writing, since I saw how weak it was in Battle City. But then I got so busy I didn't even get a chance to write an entry.

April is Script Frenzy, so I'm trying to work on that. On top of that I've got cosplays and cosplay props that I'm trying to get ready for Anime Central in May. I've got other Acen-related obligations too. All fun stuff, but time consuming and keeping me from the computer a bit.

Add to that a lot of headache, stress, and annoyance from work and I just have barely peeked at DA lately. *sigh* Not only that I really haven't had anything worthy of putting up as a deviation lately; I haven't drawn anything other than a quick sketch of a cosplay prop in MONTHS. Right now my creative energy is all being sucked into my cosplay stuffs for Acen and I'm barely able to squeeze out a little to work on writing my screenplay.

So I've decided to take a step back from DA for a while, probably until early summer, when I have time to spend looking at all the wonderful stuff around here and possibly update my gallery.

I can't stay away entirely, there's too much great stuff around here but I did kind of clear out my Watch list a bit. Didn't remove anyone entirely but I went through and unchecked the boxes under Deviations and Journals for many of the clubs and Deviants I watch. Thankfully I had re-upped my subbie recently so I can scan thumbnails when I don't have time. I kept a few deviants on watch, that I really want to follow, but clubs and such I won't be watching because those really fill up my devWatch fast.

I do have a few deviations I didn't clear out of my devWatch box that I am going to comment on when I get a chance, I saw that :yeclek: posted a few sketchies of Lenora, thank you! I did notice them, I just didn't have time to comment but I will!

Anyway....I've rambled on enough. I need to get some sleep, it's been a long rough day at work and I'm even stiffer now because I was sitting sewing for four hours worth of Torchwood.

Argh sorry everyone!!! I really didn't mean to vanish so long....

I won't bore everyone with the details but thanks to a rough work schedule, extra work heaped on me (I'm running two departments AGAIN) and my boss getting sick and throwing everything into chaos (thankfully she is getting better!), I just haven't had much energy to keep up with stuff.

I do still plan on entering and :iconShiroVIII:'s tournaments, I just haven't been able to focus enough to create character bios. I also haven't forgotten about requests....but I haven't drawn anything other than a quickie sketchie of a cosplay prop in AGES.

I really could use a TARDIS...I need more time than there are hours in the day, seriously! And more energy too. Thank goodness for the subbie I paid for, I have been able to at least skim thumbnails in my devWatch (which is at an astronomical number right now), and I have read comments left for me, just haven't had the energy to respond to any.

Right now in fact...I have a ton of pictures I wanna upload to Flickr, a couple journals to post (this one, and one to LJ), PMs on boards to respond to, knitting projects to get underway, craft supplies to dig out, a sewing pattern to find......and all I want to do is curl up in bed with a book and my Torchwood DVDs. That's how little energy I have lately.

Anyway I'll shut up now and force myself to get something accomplished before I pass out.

Okay for those who are going "Who's gonna be at what?".....

Acen = Anime Central, a big anime convention held in Chicago every May (May 16-18, 2008), I went for the first time this past May and fell in love and already have friends to room with and my registration half-done for this year I can't wait!

Jason David Frank = he was one of the ORIGINAL Power Rangers. He was Tommy the Green ranger back in the day...later became the Red ranger on Zeo, he was the white ranger for a while, then years later was the oldest Power Ranger when he took on the reins of the Black ranger on Dino Thunder. Black Ranger = HOTNESS!!

Someone better warn the poor guy....I am a Jedi on the Glomp Team...they're gonna have to peel me off....


Anyway I have to get to bed because I have to work tomorrow but I just saw this when I went to check something on the registration part and was like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and literally went BOUNCING down the stairs to tell my mom.
